Please note that the BCH ( including the Library) will be closed for all activities on Friday, April 2nd (Good Friday) and Friday April 30th (Koninginnedag).

Please bring along a tasty contribution. Lunch follows the BCH Fashion Presentation (March) and Talk and Sale of Delft Pottery so please come for both in each case.

She will help you produce a unique and exciting Easter Flower Centre Piece with step by step instructions.

Cost: 30 euros for members including lunch.

Discussion Topic for March 19th is:

Body Image: Just what do people go through to look good? Botox and Plastic surgery all appear regularly on our screens and in the papers. Is it healthy or desirable? Do we just need a lesson on how to value ourselves, feel comfortable in our skins and grow old gracefully?

Discussion Topic for April 16th is:

Corruption: British MPs may have been behaving badly but their antics are put into the shade by what goes on elsewhere in politics and business. What is the extent of the problem and how does it damage societies?

Tour and Lunch of the Hotel School

Wednesday, March 24th at 11.00

Tour followed by delicious 3-course lunch with waiter service.

Join Simone Roell at the Hotel School. Brusselselaan 2, Scheveningen.

Cost: 25 euros pp (incl. tour/ lunch/ all drinks)

Upper limit of 35 people so pre-booking essential

 

Demonstration, Talk and Sale of Delft Pottery

Friday, April 9th at 11.00.

AWC Main Room

Mary Bast will introduce Ina Slieker who will give a demonstration on painting and decorating a Ceramic plate plus a short talk about the history of Delft Blue Porcelain and a sale of some of her work.

 

Guided Tour of the Historic town of Hoorn

Thursday, April 15th

Meet up at Den Haag CS  (information Desk) by 9.15.

Rosemary Bates will lead this tour of the listed monuments, almshouses and museums of the North Holland town of Hoorn. It received its City status in 1357 and was prosperous during the "Dutch Golden Age".

Cost: 5 euros + return train ticket and lunch.
